How to Lose Pregnancy Fat

Congratulations on being a new mom! I hope motherhood is agreeing with you. Other than the new bundle of joy in your life, I bet your wondering how you’re going to get your body back into the shape it was before your pregnancy. I’m pretty sure that you would much rather spend quality time with your new baby than having to run off to the gym for a couple of hours everyday.

It can be really difficult, once having a baby to lose weight after pregnancy. There are ways you can lose pregnancy fat and spend time with your new child. Follow this easy tips to lose pregnancy weight AND be there for your new child.

The first step you can do is to control what you put into your body. During pregnancy and post pregnancy your body is going through several hormonal stages. You will see some changes in your body after childbirth because your hormone levels are trying to get back to the way they were. Your body will start to crave many different kinds of food because of your hormones being out of sorts. Your not eating for two anymore so you can’t use that excuse to pig out. You  need to keep your sugar levels in your body stabilize if you want to control your cravings. Throughout the day, try eating small meals often. You have a greater chance at weight loss if you eat 5-6 small meals a day vs. the traditional 2-3 meals.

Second, breast feeding can help you lose weight too.  There really is a good reason to to why you gain weight during your pregnancy. Your body  needs fat to help you lactate. You can burn up to 500-700 calories a day just by breast feeding. Breast feeding is a great way to bond with your child and the greatest way to burn calories.

Third, you can lose pregnancy fat and spend quality time with your baby just by taking a walk around the neighborhood. Your neighbors and friends are probably all dying to see your new baby, so instead of having them come to visit you, why not get some exercise and put your child in a stroller and walk all over the neighborhood to show him or her off. Instead of having your friends and neighbors come over, put your baby in the stroller and go for a walk around the block to meet the neighborhood . Taking a walk is a quick exercise for weight loss, it might also help with the stress in being a new mother too.

Keep in mind it’s not important to lose this weight fast. Realize that your body has been through an ordeal, take it easy. For the sake of your baby and yourself, you would want to lose weight as safe and natural as you can. For your baby’s sake, lose weight healthy and naturally. Just be patient and soon you will be able to fit back into your skinny jeans again.
